Rimac C Two – One of the fastest e-cars

Rimac C Two – This is one of the fastest electric cars in the world, which is now going into production. Rimac Automobili is a company that operates in the Croatian town of Veliko Trgovišće. For several years, work has been underway there on a car capable of overcoming the 400 km/h barrier. solely by electricity.
First, the C One prototype was created, and its constructors started by giving the maximum speed (412 km/h) and the acceleration value to a hundred (0-100 km/h in 2 seconds) as an incentive. After several years of work, when the small-scale production of the C Two is about to start, these data have been confirmed. The first 150 copies of the Croatian supercar will go to the hands of the most demanding and wealthy customers. Among them to F1 driver Nico Rosberg. Estimated price: €2.2 million.
The most important is the monocoque, i.e. a self-supporting element of the body. To which the suspension with wheels and the drive system are attached. It is light, stiff and durable – it is made of composites (carbon fibre). Inside it hides hundreds of different fasteners, which are made of aluminum and carefully glued. Drilling too much would weaken the structure.

It has all-wheel drive and four electric motors. Total power is: 1914 hp and torque: 2300 Nm. Inside, a special battery with a capacity of 120 kWh is hidden between the seats. This is enough for 550 kilometers, or 2 laps of the Nurburgring race track, at full speed.

The car in the assembly process is carefully scanned, and this image is compared with an electronic project – “technical drawing”. It is undergoing the homologation process, and in order to obtain it, several prototypes had to be subjected to crash tests. It has also undergone fine tuning in the wind tunnel, and the first examples are also checked for leaks.
