QWERTY Keyboard – Roots in the typewriter.

Today’s keyboards have their roots in typewriters. The layout of the keys, which we call QWERTY, was adopted from them, according to the order of the keys in the first row from the left. The first people to use machines had a big problem. When typing too fast, the hammer often jammed. Therefore, there has been a fundamental change. The most commonly used letters of the English alphabet are spaced as far apart as possible. At the same time, a layout was chosen that would not delay the writer. The QWERTY system was developed in the years 1873-1876.
