R. Durtnell and Sons – The oldest European construction company.

It was established in England in 1593. Carpentry brothers John and Brian Durtnell built a magnificent house for their father from oak wood. Property named Poundsbridge Manor destroyed during World War II. It was rebuilt by the same company that built it. Centuries ago, it aroused such interest that later builders were immediately flooded with orders.

The company grew, but despite the changing architectural fashions, it remained faithful to wood. Although it has now gone out of business and focused on paying off debt, it still remains in the hands of the Durtnell family.
