Ingenuity, together with the folded propellers and solar panels, is hidden in a container on the rover’s chassis. Big and heavy, Perseverance protects the tiny helicopter during space travel.

It is an absolutely independent unit from the rover. Their actions on Mars are not correlated, they do not complement each other. The helicopter is to demonstrate technological capabilities and that’s it. All it has to do is set up properly, recharge his batteries. Show that it can get up in the air and land.
